Weidmann Remodeling increased the width of the bathroom entry. The newly paneled hallway provides increased clothes storage, a beverage center, and hidden access to the remaining closet. The aesthetics of the paneled room are enriched with custom sapele mahogany cabinetry, doors and trim unify the space.

The paneled walls in the hall open to his new clothes storage space as well as provide access to her closet through middle door panels to the right.

The end wall is actually a pair of pocket doors into the new remodeled bathroom. beforeafter-2_wj-kohlins_web

Before, the original bathroom was furnished with builder-grade cabinets, fixtures, finishes, and a small shower, nothing out of the ordinary.

Now, sapele mahogany continues from the hall into the bath in the form of a vanity and other various millwork details. The custom cabinetry was designed as a substantial furniture piece for the room. It is topped with stone that blends seamlessly with the tile work throughout the rest of the bathroom. This piece provides a great amount of storage.

The owners opted for a walk-in shower with no tub. Weidmann Remodeling created a spacious shower with multiple shower sources and a curbless entry.  The large window floods the room with natural light, filtering into and through the shower area. A combination of cove lighting, recessed lighting, vanity sconces, and two chandeliers illuminate the space at night.

The previously vaulted ceiling was defined with a large barrel vault over the vanity and a small barrel vault over the dry-off area. Sculpting the ceiling in this manner helped to define the volumes of space and their functions.

All these improvements provide an overall better function and flow to the room. Barreled ceilings and rounded details complement the circle-top window; Custom cove lighting, dual chandeliers, vanity sconces and recessed lighting brighten the space. These homeowners now enjoy a spectacular and inspiring master suite.
