Weidmann & Associates recently completed this beautiful kitchen remodeling project and created a space that is far more cohesive with the interior and exterior of the home. Previously living with a kitchen that they didn’t like and was isolated from the main area of the home, Weidmann designed and constructed a kitchen space for Judy and Dan Wolbe that unified the common areas of the home and dramatically changed the connection to the outdoor living space beyond.
The transitional style reflects a sleek, modern, and elegant look, with most of the lighting provided by Design Lighting Group, but using their old dining room light over the new island. With the incorporation of a large window and bank of doors supplied by Atlanta Specialty Millworks and installed along the back wall, the result is a bright atmosphere set off with a mix of painted and stained cabinets, along with a light countertop, called White Macabus from Dal Tile and installed by Atlanta Stone Pros. Sewell Appliances provided the Dacor ovens and the Dacor microwave, while Moda Floors & Interiors completed the hardwood repairs and refinishing.
Although originally referred to Weidmann by friends that had recently used the firm for their kitchen, the Wolbe’s were pleasantly surprised to discover that our job sign was in a yard right down the street, as we completed a second project for their neighbors. They have since expanded our client base by recommending the company to Dan’s cousin for a kitchen project we just started this month.
Thanks Dan and Judy for entrusting us with the transformation of your home and having the confidence to recommend us to your relatives! Want to see more? Check out this video that shows more photos of this remodel.

Here at Weidmann & Associates we love designing kitchens. As you’ll see in the video below, we focus on really understanding how our clients live and then creating a kitchen that makes life easier.
We enjoy finding creative storage areas for the items our clients use everyday. Our kitchens aren’t just stylish and beautiful, they are functional. From classic to contemporary and everything in between, we can create a kitchen that both enhances your daily use and enjoyment, while tailoring it to your personal aesthetic.
Once again, Weidmann & Associates is honored to have a project photo featured in a write-up on Houzz.com. In an editorial showcasing great kitchen storage ideas, a Houzz.com writer included the photo above.
“In creating the open feel the clients desired, we were left with limited upper cabinet storage in the work triangle and had to be very creative in the design to keep frequently used items close at hand,” explained Dan Weidmann. “The picture the writer selected for her article included just two of the specialized storage features incorporated into this kitchen.”

Houzz.com editors have tens of thousands of remodelers, designers, and architects to choose from. We love knowing the design work we enjoy everyday impresses the writers of houzz.com as much as it does our clients.
The wall-to-wall high gloss white cabinetry is irresistible. They are shiny, clean looking and ad flawless elegance to the room.

“Uncover the Hidden Potential with
Weidmann Remodeling and your
traditional Atlanta home!”
This home is similar to many other traditional homes in Atlanta. It’s known as a “Five, Four, and a Door” named for the five windows on the second floor and a centered main entry door with two windows on either side. It’s a colonial style home popular for many years in America. Dan Weidmann of Weidmann Remodeling focuses on remodeling this style home in a seminar set for late September hosted by My Sandy Springs Magazine, Atlanta Best Media.
In this home you will not see the typical layout. It used be, once you walk through the front door, you are greeted with a living room on one side and a dining room on the other. Then you would find the family room and kitchen. It’s a fairly standard look all around Dunwoody and Sandy Springs. But, the downside is that you have a lot of unused living space. This home, being the same as many on the street, had the standard one window over the sink in the kitchen, which allowed very little light to come through and into the room. These particular homeowners wanted to open up and reflow their living space to adapt to their family’s lifestyle. Now, this inviting kitchen is flooded with light and open to friendly gatherings as well as private family dinners.
The Kitchen counters are – Engineered Quartz – Piatra Grey. Atlanta Stone Pro supplied the quartz counter materials. The island is wrapped with a custom walnut counter top, finished like a fine piece of furniture. The flooring was finished with a dark stain to incorporate new flooring with the existing.
