Weidmann & Associates recently completed this beautiful kitchen remodeling project and created a space that is far more cohesive with the interior and exterior of the home. Previously living with a kitchen that they didn’t like and was isolated from the main area of the home, Weidmann designed and constructed a kitchen space for Judy and Dan Wolbe that unified the common areas of the home and dramatically changed the connection to the outdoor living space beyond.
Although originally referred to Weidmann by friends that had recently used the firm for their kitchen, the Wolbe’s were pleasantly surprised to discover that our job sign was in a yard right down the street, as we completed a second project for their neighbors. They have since expanded our client base by recommending the company to Dan’s cousin for a kitchen project we just started this month.
Thanks Dan and Judy for entrusting us with the transformation of your home and having the confidence to recommend us to your relatives! Want to see more? Check out this video that shows more photos of this remodel.

Weidmann & Associates recently completed three bathroom remodels for Dan and Jackie Prucha. The second project in this particular home and the fourth for this client, Weidmann retained Dove Cabinets for the bathroom cabinetry and Ferguson Supply for the plumbing fixtures.
The goal of the remodeling project was to upgrade the function and feel of the guest bath and convert a Jack & Jill bath into two dedicated bathrooms, while taking full advantage of the views behind their home. Upon completion of another successful transformation, they gave us one of our favorite testimonials ever: “Working with Weidmann is like working with family . . . family you like.

This European beauty is nestled on the banks of Lake Oconee. It’s owner, Vivian Ferland wanted more from her home. She wanted to enjoy beautiful views of the lake without the heat of the sun. With an expansive deck across the back of her home, Vivian first turned to Weidmann & Associates to convert the deck space outside her great room to a covered porch.
The home had limited outside areas for entertaining that were sheltered from the heat. The new covered porch was the perfect solution.
Because she was so pleased with Weidmann’s design capabilities, construction expertise, and customer service, she returned for a second project. She had an existing screen porch, which was too hot to use during most of the year. Weidmann turned the porch into a cozy, bright, sunroom, with air conditioning. Now, Vivian enjoys beautiful views of the lake from her covered porch and quiet cool times watching the wildlife from inside the comfort of her new sunroom.
Weidmann incorporated the Ferland’s unique finds into the remodel, like this beautiful wall sink (lavabo).
This bright and cozy sunroom is the second project Weidmann completed for the homeowner. The family now enjoys lake views at different times of day, as well as during different seasons.

Vivian Ferland is one of our Lake Oconee clients. She turned to Weidmann & Associates when she wanted a new addition to the back of her home so that she could enjoy views of the lake without getting too hot. She worked closely with Kris Marshall, Weidmann’s Vice President of the Lake Oconee office.
Weidmann added a covered addition to the back of the home. In order to make the new living space flow with the rest of the home, Weidmann created another gabled roof slightly lower than main one on the house. The water now flows from the top and through a new gutter system. At the same time, the addition fits right in with the look of the home.
Another small challenge was making sure that the addition did not obstruct views of the lake from inside the home. So, now when Vivian and her family want to look out at the lake, they can enjoy it from inside in the air-conditioning or outside sitting on the covered porch addition.
Vivian was so pleased with the project and with the level of service from Weidmann, that she called us again when she wanted a new sunroom. A screened in porch, which was not being used was converted into the bright and cozy sunroom. Now, it’s a great place to relax and read or to entertain.
Below you can photos of both projects and a video showing all the pictures from her addition and sunroom. Get inspired for your next project!
Once again, Weidmann & Associates is honored to have a project photo featured in a write-up on Houzz.com. In an editorial showcasing great kitchen storage ideas, a Houzz.com writer included the photo above.
“In creating the open feel the clients desired, we were left with limited upper cabinet storage in the work triangle and had to be very creative in the design to keep frequently used items close at hand,” explained Dan Weidmann. “The picture the writer selected for her article included just two of the specialized storage features incorporated into this kitchen.”

This beautiful bathroom renovation shows what a little contemporary flair can do to add some excitement to an older home, while creating a very functional space.
The Problem: Our repeat clients Josh and Linda Brener want to remain in their home indefinitely and realized that a master on the main would contribute greatly to that goal.
The Solution: Using an existing first floor bedroom as the starting point, Weidmann built an addition to provide the additional square footage needed to create a suitably sized new master bathroom and closet.
A Few Great Features: The slope roof line maintained consistency with the home. The vaulted ceiling over the bathroom allowed for high windows over the shower. The curbless entry and open shower looks sleek, while also making it easily accessible. A floating wall divides the shower from the vanity space, and a wall of cabinets provides abundant storage.

This project involved creating a wine cellar on terrace level as well as a complete reinvention of the master bath. The wine cellar has a rustic look the client loves with doors made of Alder. The floor is made up of individual stones, which you have to see in person to appreciate the full impact, beauty, and texture this multi-color material from Renaissance Tile & Bath brings to the space.
The master bath renovation was extensive. Weidmann removed the bath tub and used the space for a new curbless glass shower. Asian statuary marble is used for the shower flooring. The accent wall in the shower adds glamour and beauty to the spa like bathroom.

Mr. & Mrs. Rogers - Lake Oconee Being new to Lake Oconee, we selected Weidmann Remodeling based on a strong recommendation from our real estate agent. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the process and end product – the Weidmann Team exceeded our expectations throughout the process of designing the space, selecting finishes, conducting the construction, and even their follow up after the job was complete. Although living in California and only visiting a handful of times during construction, we were kept up to date throug…
Sandra and Mark Hutto I remember when Weidmann & Associates was redoing our kitchen. My husband and I were going to be out of town for 3 weeks on our second honeymoon. Even though we were out of the country, we got continuous email updates on the progress made throughout the process, and when we came home we had a beautiful dream kitchen waiting for us! Our experience with Weidmann & Associates was top notch and we will definitely be contacting them again for our next redesign project (whenever that is! 🙂
Telia and Trevor Burgess The experience exceeded every expectation and we can’t imagine the process being any easier – from the initial design of our new kitchen and laundry, through the end of the job. The final result is even better than we could have ever imagined. Every member of the team was fantastic and we would gladly entrust our own children with the project manager or any of the carpenters. We look forward to having everyone back for Phase Two!”
Elise and Gary Meyer On a scale from one to ten, our project manager, Mark, was a 15! He managed every aspect of our project with the care and dedication as if it were his own home. His attitude filtered to all the guys who came to work on our project. Truly it was a team effort! We are enjoying the space created and would not hesitate to choose or recommend Weidmann for another job.

Linda Layton and Denny McFarland We needed a professional design-build firm to help us conceptualize how to better use the space in our home. The Weidmann team was perfect for the job. Our renovation moved the master bedroom, bathroom, and closet; enlarged the great room; moved the living room and dining room; and created an entry foyer. Weidmann was great to work with, creative, and very accommodating. A whole house project that could have been quite stressful was an exciting experience!
