This video shows a recent remodel involving the kitchen and surrounding areas. The clients were looking for a more open kitchen that would give them more room and better functionality and enjoyment. As you’ll see, the space is now open and bright, helping them better enjoy beautiful views to their yard.
Our Lake Oconee office recently completed this beautiful commercial remodeling project. Kim and Lin Logan Real Estate hired Weidmann to complete another office renovation previously. We were thrilled to work with them again on this new office for their expanding business. Kris Marhall leads our Lake Oconee offices.
We frequently receive calls from homeowners that are interested in remodeling their home to prepare it for sale. Frequently, the desire to make improvements is accompanied with an expectation that the investment will be recouped in the purchase price. Unfortunately, while improvements are likely to shorten the time that a house remains on the market, there are very few that will increase the sales price dollar for dollar. Indeed, the bigger the project, the more likely the cost of the project will greatly exceed the expected return.
For example, according to Remodeling Magazine’s most recent Cost versus Value Report, the expected return on a major kitchen remodeling project in the Atlanta market is only around 65% oi its cost. This is why major projects are usually undertaken by homeowners that plan to stay in the home for an extended period of time and recoup their investment in part from the increased value of their home and the rest from the increased enjoyment of living in it. However, if it is time to sell, we’ve put together some information to assist in identifying the potential changes that will be most valuable to prospective purchasers. Here at Weidmann & Associates, we take pride in our creative designs and our quality craftsmanship. It’s always nice when you get recognition for those things as well. The National Association of the Remodeling Industry just announced the regional winners in various categories of the Contractor Of The Year Awards.
Weidmann & Associates won the regional award for “Best Additions $100,000 to $250,000”. The southeast region is very competitive as it extends all the way from the Washington, D. C. area south to include all of Florida. “This is quite an honor considering all the great remodeling companies we’re competing against”, said Dan Weidmann, President of Weidmann & Associates, Inc.
The project that won is a beautiful indoor/outdoor addition. Weidmann extended the living space of the great room by building onto the space where the client’s deck had been. We demolished the existing deck and built a beautiful covered outdoor living space, with a beautiful patio area below. To see the transformation, click here.

Jenny and Bill Gottschalk The experience exceeded every expectation and we can’t imagine the process being any easier – from the initial design of our new kitchen and laundry, through the end of the job. The final result is even better than we could have ever imagined. Every member of the team was fantastic and we would gladly entrust our own children with the project manager or any of the carpenters. We look forward to having everyone back for Phase Two!

Elise and Gary Meyer On a scale from one to ten, our project manager, Mark, was a 15! He managed every aspect of our project with the care and dedication as if it were his own home. His attitude filtered to all the guys who came to work on our project. Truly it was a team effort! We are enjoying the space created and would not hesitate to choose or recommend Weidmann for another job.
Sandra and Mark Hutto I remember when Weidmann & Associates was redoing our kitchen. My husband and I were going to be out of town for 3 weeks on our second honeymoon. Even though we were out of the country, we got continuous email updates on the progress made throughout the process, and when we came home we had a beautiful dream kitchen waiting for us! Our experience with Weidmann & Associates was top notch and we will definitely be contacting them again for our next redesign project (whenever that is! 🙂
Linda Layton and Denny McFarland We needed a professional design-build firm to help us conceptualize how to better use the space in our home. The Weidmann team was perfect for the job. Our renovation moved the master bedroom, bathroom, and closet; enlarged the great room; moved the living room and dining room; and created an entry foyer. Weidmann was great to work with, creative, and very accommodating. A whole house project that could have been quite stressful was an exciting experience!
Mr. & Mrs. Rogers - Lake Oconee Being new to Lake Oconee, we selected Weidmann Remodeling based on a strong recommendation from our real estate agent. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the process and end product – the Weidmann Team exceeded our expectations throughout the process of designing the space, selecting finishes, conducting the construction, and even their follow up after the job was complete. Although living in California and only visiting a handful of times during construction, we were kept up to date throug…
